From the Visitors Centre walk down to the trails passing the Coal Garden on the right. This was built as a reminder of the areas coal mining past with the headstock wheels being taken from the nearby Silverhill Colliery.

Go through the kissing gate, turn left onto the trails and note the tree carving located in the wood on the left. Walk under the bridge and look for the kissing gate on the left. Pass through this and follow the footpath (Postmans Lane) to the road. At the road turn left under the bridge and then left again up Carnarvon Street and back to Teversal Visitors Centre.
