Teversal
Village Circular
From the Visitors Centre go past the Coal Garden through the kissing
gate, turn right and follow the trail for approximately two thirds of
a mile. At the bridge (where the footpath crosses the trail) turn left
down the steps, go over the stile and follow the path over the footbridge.
Continue to follow the path up the field to the stile in the left hand
corner. |
Cross over the stile and turn left, walking behind the houses and the church of St Katherine which dates back to the twelfth century and features seventeenth century fittings which are particularly noteworthy. Carry on, passing Teversal Manor dated 1764 on your left. When you reach the road follow it down the hill, under the bridge and after about 100 yards turn left onto the zig zag path back to the Visitors Centre. |
