The Teversal Running Trail
Runs from 3 to 10 miles combined over 3 routes

The trails are also an ideal venue for trail running as it offers an enjoyable and stimulating environment in which to run. There is a considerable diversity of terrain and scenery from open tracks to wooded areas and farmland which allows runners of all abilities to meet and enjoy the challenges of the area.

Route 1 (5 miles)
Follow the adidas waymarkers from the Visitors Centre, passing through the gate onto the trail. Turn right and follow the trail for one mile. Pass through the kissing gate and turn left. Follow the trail for one and a half miles, crossing the road at the ramp and heading towards Pleasley Colliery. At Longhedge Lane turn left for 100 yards, turn left again through the gate and follow the trail for one and a half miles, crossing the road at the ramp. At the end of the trail (stile) go down the steps on the left, turn left under the bridge and follow the road to a zigzag path (100 yards) and follow signs back to the Visitors Centre.

Route 2 (7 miles)
Follow Route 1 until Longhedge Lane and turn left for 100 yards and left again at gate. Follow the trail for approximately a quarter of a mile, cross the stile on your right and then over another stile facing onto the Rowthorne Trail.

Continue left along the trail for about a mile leaving the trail to cross the stile on the left over the field and then a footbridge through Norwood and over the field. At the road turn left and continue for approximately half a mile before turning right onto Teversal Trail at the bridge. After approximately one mile cross over the stile and go down the steps on the left. At the road turn left under the bridge and follow the road for 200 yards to the zigzag path back to the Visitors Centre.

Route 3 (10 miles or 3 miles)For the 10 mile run complete routes 1 & 2 but turn left after the zigzag path. Follow the path to the road and go under the bridge across the road to a farm. Run parallel to the railway up to a stile, across the field, over the bridge and across another field to the railway line (concrete stile). Cross the railway line and go through the golf course keeping the hedge on your right hand side. Through the gate with the school playing field on your right and head towards the golf club house.

Turn left over the stile and follow the path up to the kissing gate. Bear right and continue down the right hand side of the football pitch towards the children's play area.

Go through left stile and continue for half a mile before turning left through 2 kissing gates over the railway. Continue through fields and over 4 stiles and a bridge. Bear left following waymarkers then turn right through farmers yard. Cross the road, under bridge to the stile, turn right and follow the signs to Visitors Centre.
