Lady Spencer's Walk

From the Visitors Centre, go through gate onto trail, turn right and follow trail for 1 mile. Go through the gate and turn left and follow the trail for one and half miles, heading toward Pleasley Colliery. Cross over the road at the ramp and turn left at Longhedge Lane. After 100 yards turn left again, go through the gate and continue following the trail. Just after crossing over the bridge, take the stile on your right crossing over to the stile at the side of the gate opposite onto Rowthorne Trail.

Cross over the stile and follow the trail to your left for one and quarter miles. At the car park follow the track on to the road and turn left. Turn left again at the road junction following the road into Hardwick Park.

Follow this road through the park, past the hall and continue over the cattle grid, going down hill. Where the road bends sharply to the right, take the footpath through a small gate on your left, over grass field and over the stile into the wood.

Follow this footpath through the wood and over the stream until you come to an unmade road. Turn left and this will lead to a metalled road, passing several cottages on your left, until you come to a bridge.
